Perfect Puddles

"Perfect Puddles" What a great name for a quilt featuring our fabric. So fun!

We found this post on the Quilt Engineer blog, it is her Modern Circle Sampler Quilt, and Latifah teaches a class at Sew Modern in Los Angeles. The circle is created using the "Six Minute Circle Method" and she says that it is the easiest part of the quilt. Circles have always seemed pretty difficult to me, so we may need to try this method!

Fun note: Latifah says the line is called "Retro Umbrellas" rather than its true title "Rainy Days and Mondays." We've actually heard that happen a lot and maybe that name is a better fit. But hopefully when people read the name "Rainy Days and Mondays" they will not just say it, but sing it!

  3. I didn't know you featured my quilt. Thanks! :-) I just did a quick Google search for "Perfect Puddles" hoping that one of my photos would pop up and I saw this. Actually I listed the name of the line right (Rainy Days and Mondays) but, the print that was a feature fabric in the quilt was the fabric with all the umbrellas referred to as "Retro Umbrellas" by many of the online fabric companies. When trying to reference fabric sometimes it's difficult to get the name of the print right when they are called so many different things online! Anyhow, hope you're still creating fabric. I LOVED this line. :-)
